Apple says goodbye forever to Touch ID
Apple is ready to say goodbye forever to Touch ID, the digital fingerprint recognition system that serves to unlock an iPhone.
According to a KGI Securities article, Ming-Chi Kuo, who is usually well-informed, next year iPhone will unlock only with Face ID. Face ID is the face recognition system that will be on iPhone X at the beginning of November.
Apple, according to the analyst, can only unlock with the three-dimensional facial recognition system, 3D sensing. For the company, this will be an advantage over others in terms of competition.
The market test is near. iPhone X which will have facial recognition instead of Touch ID, comes in the hands of consumers on Nov. 3.
