The US Pentagon admits the program to search for UFOs.
This was revealed by the New York Times, which also shows images of alleged meetings between US military and unidentified flying objects. The study, covered by secrecy, would have been financed with $ 22 million from 2007 to 2012. Even without funds, it would still be active.
It was worth $ 22 million of the US Department of Defense budget. A small cipher, hard to find if you did not know its existence, compared to the 600 billion annual of which the DoD had. The funding for 5 years served to investigate UFOs in secret. But now the Pentagon has recognized for the first time the existence of that program to identify advanced aerospace threats.
The American newspaper New York Times states that the program, launched in 2007, was discontinued in 2012. But its supporters say that even though the Defense Department has stopped providing funds, the project has remained alive. In the last five years, executives linked to the program would continue to investigate episodes reported by some soldiers.
Among the documents acquired by the Times, also some videos recorded by pilots of the US Navy. In the pictures, you can see objects whose nature perplexity the aviators themselves. However, scientists interviewed by the New York daily commented on these shots, emphasizing how not always what is not understood has an unusual explanation.
The journalistic investigation also reconstructs the origin of the secret project. It was strongly desired in the middle of the 2000 years by the Democratic Senator Harry Reid and financed by the magnate Robert Bigelow, an old friend of Reid and currently collaborator of NASA: of his production, an “inflatable” module experimented in the last months in orbit as an offshoot of the international space station.
